Halls Gap Zoo

If you’re an animal lover getting married in the Grampians, don’t pass up the opportunity to have your wedding photos taken at the famous Halls Gap Zoo!

There’s over 150 species of Australian and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds housed at the Halls Gap Zoo, one of the Grampians’ biggest tourist draw cards.

You can set up your photos in front of the animal enclosures, or stop for a photo opportunity with the magnificent free wandering peacocks or cheeky deer.

Better still, have a close encounter with a meerkat, snake, dingo, chameleon or even the alligator for amazing wedding photos that will be talked about for years to come.

General admission applies to all wedding party members and guests, who will also receive a free general pass for the following day. Close encounter admission ranges from $10 to $25 and should be booked in advance, particularly for wedding photos.

The Halls Gap Zoo is situated on the Ararat-Pomonal Road, just a five minute drive from Halls Gap. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm daily (excluding Christmas Day).
