“Don’t look around too much (for products and services). Sometimes too many choices make it really difficult. Go with your gut and once it is booked just enjoy what you picked. Whatever you do, don’t second guess yourself!” Shae Outtram, Tarrington.

Shae and Terry of Tarrington near Hamilton wanted their wedding to be relaxed, but “still feel like a wedding”. They knew they had the right venue as soon as they first inspected Halls Gap Valley Lodges. They said owner Jenny Carmody was very helpful, friendly and accommodating and they held the ceremony on the balcony with kangaroos and deers grazing in the background. The reception was a sit-down dinner in the function room, with big windows supplying lots of natural light and beautiful views. The brand new dance floor and professional staff and waiters added to the atmosphere. Shae and Terry said they chose to get married in Halls Gap because it is a beautiful place, close to home and somewhere they enjoy visiting regularly. “Its natural beauty and friendly locals give the place a great vibe, perfect for a wedding celebration!” they said.

The Grampians Wedding Directory promotional ladies created a lot of interest in Halls Gap on Saturday, April 30! Nellie and Georgia from Stawell looked beautiful in their ‘wedding’ gowns. With their hair and make-up compliments of the talented Amanda Stevens and her team at Didjun Skin and Body in Pomonal, they really looked the part of the beautifully polished bride.

We also met a lovely couple from South Australia who were visiting the Grampians Grape Escape to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.  Malcolm and Jan Burgess honeymooned in the Grampians in 1961 and chose to return to celebrate their wedding anniversary with friends!
